Welcome to the return of Wilson Waffling Live! With Episode 61 comes the implementation of some of the elements which I shared with you in my waffle about the new show.Tweet of the Week is still a main feature of the show, but it has gone back to a more of an educational theme. You can catch up with the themes for the next show here.
I completed a course over the summer by Colin Gray on podcasting. As well as tackling the technical techniques (don’t you just love alliteration) it had a module on thinking about marketing strategies and your audience. The tagline for my blog has always been teaching, tech and twaddle, and I think this represents how my mind works when thinking about things to waffle about. This week is completely different from last week – I want to waffle about how I use the application Padlet.
This week I look at an application I used to create mind maps and concept maps. There are many of these applications available, some of them are free, but this is the one I have been using for some time now. Popplet Lite is free while the full version of Popplet is £3.99. If you are interest then ‘pop’ over and check out the video! 🙂
Nope this is not an application about fire or heroic fireman – it’s an application which can be used to pre-create tweets to send out with a touch of the ipad while you are teaching! The video might lag in places, this is because my iMac has died and I was recording the episode on my MacBook Pro.
This week we look at Grid Guru2 – this is a application which supports grid multiplication. It costs £1.49 from the app store.
