Yesterday I wrote a blog post on my personal blog about the subscription system on many of gaming sites such as Twitch and why people would actually engage with these, especially relating to my own content. This got me thinking about my own ‘levels’ and ‘badges’ which I have on this website. It is always very important to reflect on your own practice and how this website runs I consider as part of my practice and so, with my soothsayer’s hat on to try and predict possible reasons, I thought I would attempt to decide way there are currently no Waffling Legends!
This week I decided to talk about badges and gaming and share with you a personal confession. There was the now famous ‘guess my drawing’ and ‘this is mine, what’s yours’. My plans for future Minecraft servers and my open badges. I even had a chance to run the new titles – successfully this time!
Well it hasn’t happen for a long time, well not since episode two, but this week the chat actually came to life! There was also a shaky use of the iPhone Wirecast Cam! and a complete update on the leader board for the leveling up game! What else could you ask for in a live show!
This week’s live show let’s you into the secret of how to win the infamous I waffled with Wilson Badge! We have a look at what you can find in my office, despite being an academic and I challenge you to become a Waffling Legend! Ready? Then run titles!
So this week’s waffle is about another section of the Horizon Report on Technology in Higher Education. The last time I waffled about this I focused on the Flipped Classroom – this week I’m going to focus on something which I really want to get more involved with – so grab those open badges, those actions and levels and prepared to be enjoy some gamification.
